Create New World?

Welcome to The New World Remake Project! This is a massive project with the goal of remaking every single biome from the original LEGO New World stage and fleshing them out into full stages! This will be updated as I finish each biome, check them out below!

FAQ:
- Why not remake New World as one big stage?
The short answer is that's a big commitment and a lot of work. The long answer is that would take me over a year without working on anything else in the meantime. New World also features random time of day/weather options for Overworld biomes, which about triples the amount of sprites needed. Would it be cool? Absolutely! However I don't feel the amount of work required justifies the end result.

- What happened to the different time of day/weather options for the Overworld biomes?
Unfortunately, I decided they were too much work and would make every stage feel more samey as they'd all have the same gimmick. My 3D style for these bakes the lighting into the sprites for each layer as well as a tint towards the horizon for the background layers. In order to bring back different time of day/weather options I would need to make each sprite 5 times (10 if Aether changes them in any way) which is too much. Instead, I'm choosing to focus on more unique visuals to help each biome stand out.

- When will my favorite biome be remade? How often will these remakes happen?
I can't promise anything. Making stages is a hobby in my free time and as such I don't have a set schedule or plan. I understand the wait can be frustrating but I don't want to make promises I can't keep. Remakes will happen whenever I choose to get to them!

- Are you seriously planning on finishing all 16? What about other Minecraft stages?
I would like to, someday! Realistically, probably not. I only have so much time and have more ideas than I can reasonably make in that time. As for other Minecraft stages? Yes, they're something I'd love to do (and have already done)! Feel free to check out my main stage collection to see what I've done, everything is sorted aphlabetically by series.
