Hexed Grove At Night

In the outskirts of the town Knoblauch lies a little hovel, home to a tavern owned by the hunter Anselm Purzelbaum.

Tales shared by patrons about foreign lands stricken by the corruptive magic of witches have made the locals wary of their hexes and curses, and after people started going missing Anselm started posting ever-increasing bounties for these mischievous creatures.

The final straw that washed the land in terror was when Anselm's brother went missing, and whose remains were found to have seemingly been used in a corruption ritual in the caverns below the hovel which had previously been sealed by the surrounding nature spirits a long time ago.

What was once a lively midway stop for all travelers of the land, now lay a near derelict landmark, no longer serving patrons, but instead serving the kingdom as a warning sign of things to come if the witches aren't stopped.

The cries of Knoblauch were heard, and the call was put out to send any and all hunters to the Hovel of Purzelbaum, to rid the grove of all witches and cleanse the lands of their corruption before they get out of hand!
