Description
🔧 Enhanced Damage System for Garry's Mod

This addon introduces a modular and configurable realistic damage system, replacing GMod’s default combat mechanics with more immersive and tactical features. It includes dynamic hitgroup-based damage scaling, persistent bleeding effects, limb-specific penalties, and optional health regeneration.




🩸 Bleeding Mechanics
  • Players and NPCs may start bleeding based on incoming damage and hit location.
  • Bleeding causes periodic health loss, and can stop naturally based on severity and coagulation chance.
  • Visual blood decals appear as the victim moves.
  • Critical wounds can become lethal if untreated.




🧠 Advanced Hitgroup Scaling
  • 🧠 Head → 2.0x damage multiplier
  • ❤️ Chest → 1.3x damage
  • 🦵 Arms / Legs → 0.5–0.65x damage with optional movement or weapon penalties
  • 🖐️ Hands → 0.3x damage, chance to drop weapon
  • 🥜 Pelvis → Optional stun effect




♻️ Optional Health Regeneration
  • Only occurs if the player is not bleeding, has taken no recent damage, and is below max HP.
  • Regeneration is slow and configurable.
  • Rate, delay, and limits controlled via ConVars.




🌊 Environmental & Physical Effects
  • Drowning Damage: Applies if submerged for extended periods.
  • Fall Damage Rework: Based on impact velocity. May cause broken legs, slowing movement.
  • Pain Sounds: Dynamic sounds based on hit location and severity.
  • Optional Ragdoll System: Creates physics-based ragdolls with persistent effects.
