Amtrak P42DC - Phase VII

Description
GE P42DC & P42C - Amtrak Phase VII

Beginning in 2024, Amtrak has started repainting older P42DCs into their new Phase VII livery. This pack includes both P42DCs, as well as the newly converted P42C cab cars. A huge thank you goes out to BatteryKit and Micedoe for helping provide materials, adjustments and support for this project! Listed below is all the data included in this mod. Feel free to send me a message if any errors are discovered, and please enjoy!

Update as of 1/23/2025, P42Cs have been added to the GE Genesis Soundset, Huge thanks to MrCheesecake for adding onto the existing mod, and updating the P42/C files!

6/30/2025 - Micedoe upgraded 69 to have the ITCS PTC box, as well as recolored the P42s to match the Phase VII Chargers - Huge thank you to Micedoe for the continued support with my reskins!

All P42Cs are facing backwards by default, but can be flipped around by shift clicking in the consist builder.
Please note- P42Cs are non-powered, and will require a secondary locomotive to power the train. The P42Cs cannot run under their own power. They will be found in the wagons tab, not locomotives.

I believe another developer is working on them, but I don't know of a timeframe.

Any chance we will see the 40th and 50th anniversary P42DCs? I know 184 and 46 were released previously, but would be cool to see the others.

Thank you! I'm not personally planning to create more liveries, but I believe somebody else is working on Anniversary units.

I'll look into making that change! Also, yes, I imagine they have the same weight overall. It's been speculated that Amtrak has learned since the F40PH NPCUs, gutting those resulted in weight distribution issues and rocking at high speeds. The idea of the P42Cs is that they still have all their internal hardware, just disconnected/inoperable to keep weight distribution the same. I removed emissions, removed the power source, and removed the smoke effect.

@Railfan_Mike Thanks for explaineing where to find the P42C units! I would never had the idea to look or click even there! Or maybe to make them esier to find is to give them 1 passenger as cargo (like MaikCs F40 PHs) so we can spot them in the passenger car section. :)

50th Anniversary units are planned to be part of a bigger pack, not by me. Unsure of a specific timeline, but they're on the horizon
