UCOW Type - A003 "Flaming Chariot"

Originally developed as a simple SSTO cargo transport by the then-fledgling Coalition aerospace industry after Dominion's defeat on the planet's surface, the "Flaming Chariot" was quickly adapted for was with the commencement of hostilities in space. Cheap and ubiquitous, these shuttles are produced en masse by the United Coalition Orbital works, an agglomeration of several space agencies and aerospace corporations within Coalition member states, most notably Chaplain Intrastellar, a subsidiary of Chaplain Automotives. Changes from the original design are minimal, primarily consisting of up-armouring and an enhanced sensor package alongside a small suite of missile countermeasures. Within the original cargo bay is mounted a rotary missile rack, capable of launching a volley of eight SACLOS in short order, with the craft primarily fielded as long-ranged strike support or to bulk out smaller CSDF fleets. its weaponry is easily removed to free up the internal bay, and so many Flaming Chariots see occasional or full-time service as light cargo haulers, ersatz personnel carriers or in a variety of other specialised roles.
