Fishing Trawler Celtit

Description
The Celtit is a 40-m long beam trawler designed by me, satisfying such capabilities as decent speed, great range, superior seaworthiness, ability to perform basic rescue missions and modest research requirements. It is geared with simple systems facilitating navigation and discharge of catch as well as with basic equipment.

Features
  • Two booms and two nets
  • Hold heading system
  • Gantry controller
  • Acces to catch for gantry at the forecastle
  • Four Beds
  • Critical engine temperature, low charge and low fuel alarms
  • Heaters and clothes for Arctic
  • Variety of equipment
  • Fuel consumption per 100 km gauge
  • Active stabilizer

Specifications
  • Length: 39.25m
  • Beam: 7.25m
  • Mass (LDT) 33.68 t
  • Cost: $177 506
  • Fuel: 54 220 litres
  • Top speed: unknown
  • Range: 135 km - 360 km (at 46 - 15 knots)
  • Propulsion: unknown

Notes
  • Engine is designed for 10 rps at max. Although it can run much more for limited amount of time. Despite the vessel has engine temperature alarm, only man can change gear or tune throttle to lower the rps and hinder overheating.
  • Low gear is supposed to be turned off at cruise speeds but it can be used to achieve extremely high speeds as well as to proceed very slowly depending on set throttle.
  • Range i dependent on speed. There is fuel consumption counter on the bridge.
