Third Person Aim Fix [Type A]

In 1 collection by PLUIE
Pluie's Third Person Aim Fix
2 items
Description
[Type A] adjusts 'c_thirdpersonshoulderaimdist' to ensure that the bullet impact point aligns with the crosshair during third person gameplay. It cannot be used simultaneously with Type B. Additionally, when the walk button is pressed, the crosshair correction speed increases by about 30%

If you want to play in third person, subscribe to the NO Recoil mod
(included in the Required items)
When firing in third person, if you take damage or jump, bullets will be fired much higher than the crosshair, but installing the NO Recoil mod will prevent this issue

This mod was created to be used alongside H.U.N.K'S THIRDPERSON KEYBOARD EDITION.
*When you right-click to aim, the aiming correction speed automatically increases by 30% without needing to press the walk button

If you're dissatisfied with just the screen zooming in when you use Zoom in third person, If used my custom setting. you can use the first-person zoom from third-person view

Third person aiming funtion update
2025/05/11
By changing the correction method, accuracy has increased and errors have decreased

Details on Type A
-As the target gets closer, the camera moves closer to the character.
-A custom autoexec.cfg (H.U.N.K'S EDITION) is required.
-The value of c_thirdpersonshoulderhight can be adjusted freely, providing high accuracy in almost all situations regardless of character size.
-Pressing the walk button (Shoulder Aiming Function for custom autoexec.cfg) increases the aim correction speed.
-This mod works only on local servers or in single-player mode.
-If you want to toggle between third-person and first-person views with a one button, try binding the "thirdpersonshoulder" command in the console or using H.U.N.K'S THIRDPERSON KEYBOARD EDITION

The accuracy is awesome and all but in return I’m getting motion sickness from playing—maybe it’s just me.

there is a stable third person shotgun sound fix from Shadowysn, which wouldnt crash occasionally

will you change the requirements?

@DeBlue have you found a solution to the 1st person?

Guys, go to console and type "thirdperson" or "thirdpersonshoulder" to go third person. The game does not consider it an sv_cheats type of cheat, however in my experience in using it, it seems to make it possible to not get achievements anyway.

Well I can't seem to change the fov in 1st person. I have "cam_idealdist 0" and "fov_desired" "70" but the fov is actually lilke 90 or something whenever I hold down the RMB?

Great thanks I see about the config. Another question is, are semi automatic weapons such as shotgun and sniper rifles (other than pistols) supposed to not have any recoil? I don't get it

@DeBlue In the autoexec.cfg file, search for the 'FOV SECTION' and adjust the value of 'fov_desired'. Lower values will make the view more magnified

Next, go to the 'AIM SECTION HEIGHT' category and change the value of 'cam_idealdist'. There's no need to modify anything related to '-aim' Lower numbers will bring the camera closer to your character
