Steel Bridge Audio Pack

A pack of audio samples of a steel railway bridge being crossed by a train, edited and configured for looping.

There are three samples of different pitch and speed: fast, medium & slow. All are less than two seconds in length.

Implementation

Each mod is activated and deactivated by clicking on it, which can be done automatically using train detection switches and a Remote trigger (drawer Room.7). The trigger can be activated wirelessly and both mod and trigger can be shrunk for concealment within a bridge deck or structure.

When placing and configuring the remote trigger ensure that trains passing on any track are not within its range, as it will uncouple wagons within range when activated.

For realistic performance with bi-directional single track on all but the shortest of bridges you will need directional train detection. See Direction-of-Travel Sensor for methods. You can use the same passwords in both directions to activate a common trigger.

To automatically play different versions of the mod for trains running at different speeds and/or to suppress play at very low speeds you can use one or more Speed Threshold Sensor modules.

Audio is played through the Effects channel, adjustable on the wall menu. You can also edit the mods' levels in the Modding Manager.
