Star Razor Class Destroyer

Using the original hull of the smaller Star Talon as a starting point, the Star Razor was built outwards with far increased protection to the point at which the two ships are no longer comparable. The Star Talon has three large weapon hardpoints towards the bow, with the hull at that section reinforced by a new section of lower hull to prevent the ship breaking itself apart when firing all three simultaneously.

Due to its increased hull space, it also has a Jump Drive, and several active systems designed to aid it in the pursuit and destruction (in short order) of smaller ships. It can slow an enemy ship with its grappel, then drain its shields, boosting its own if required, and after the fight can repair its own hull with retractable repair arms mounted at strategic points around the hull. To add to that, it has inherited the drone bay from the Star Talon.

It is not a fast ship, despite its engine power upgrade over the Star Talon, but its heavy armour, armament and even wider strategic options make it a dangerous foe in battle, and allow it to take part in fleet actions as an escort, or in duels with other destroyers, and come out on top.
