General description


This mod makes all walls indestructible.

Towers and gates can still be destroyed during sieges. This feature prevents the AI from having a brain embolism when attacking a fortress with fisure in the wall.

The abilities to damage walls have also been modified, and the ability to damage buildings has been added. If there is any ability that only works against walls, please inform me about it so I can see if I can change it or give it another improvement.

@MightNight You can identify gates as walls, and this will make gates only attackable by units with the wall breaker ability. You can also assign the wall breaker ability to any unit you want. Battering rams are a different thing; they are not units but vehicles, and I wouldn’t know how to make them able to attack gates reassigned as walls.

On the other hand, you also can't associate wall breaking with flaming attacks, but you can assign it to units that already have flaming attacks.

To finish, I’ll tell you that I don’t usually take requests. If someone gives me a good idea, I might turn it into a mod, but nothing more. For now, I don’t see this as viable due to the issue with battering rams, but who knows in the future.

Incata not sure if you are taking requests, but you are the closest person that has done something that I wanted for a while.

Is there any chance you can create a mod that makes it that Gates can only be attacked by Siege Rams, units with the Wallbreaker ability, and units with Flaming Attacks (finally a real use to have troops equipped with wallbreaker/flaming attacks)?

@Daverin2112 The truth is yes, it is quite sad because the effect of destroying walls is quite good but ultimately this solved the root problem, perhaps making the wall pieces larger or improving the AI's behavior would generate the same effect but I'll leave this to CA

This... is one of the sadder mods I have seen. Not because of your work, but because this is thing to help the AI.
