put a picture in the mod folder and name it "thumbnail" no caps. the image has to be 16:9 (like 676x380 or 1920x1080) or it wont work

@Bob Rain World by default doesn't upload the thumbnail for some reason after the mod's initial upload. If it shows up in-game, you know you named the thumbnail right. But there should be some box to check when uploading the mod that says "upload the thumbnail" or something like that. It's pretty obscure.

I tried that already and it doesn't seem to work. Not sure if I named it wrong or what. I'm not very well versed in the steam workshop either so might be a me problem. Thansks a lot for commenting.

I don't know how to make a thumbnail directly for the workshop, but I do know that you can have a Thumbnail.png file in the mod folder (next to modinfo.json), and uploading the mod SHOULD make it have that thumbnail on Steam. That's how I've always done it.

Good luck with developing your mod! I might actually have a proposal for an excellent use for it in a few months.
