Fleetingness #4: Vessel

Description
The comfortable sense of security of always having your portal gun at hand... The convenient sturdiness of weighted cubes... Have you been taking those for granted? Looks like you need a reminder that in this life, all things are fleeting.

The fourth installment is here at last, and this time we’re focusing on how portal buttons and futbols can interact with funnels. Because the map introduces a lot of ideas, the puzzles themselves aren't too hard. Still, playing at least part 1 first is recommended.

Notes:
- The orange gel’s only purpose is to paint one of the futbols, to help you keep track of which is which. You're free to use it or not.
- Futbol throwing is required, however the intended solution doesn’t involve any overly precise throw. To throw a futbol, simply point at the desired direction and press E.
- “Futbol climbing” is required. You will understand what I mean by that quick enough.
- Some timing is required, however every move should be lenient and easy enough to execute if you plan ahead. Using F6/F7 to quicksave/quickload is recommended.
- Futbol juggling, bypassing the overlapping funnels, glitches, ninja moves and other shenanigans are not part of the intended solution.

Estimated difficulties:
Room 1: 2/10
Rooms 2 and 3: 4/10

This map is an entry to the Mikeastro/PMaM portal gun on/off contest. The music was also composed by Mikeastro.

Huge thanks to Dark Rozen and Narkodes for playtesting and their precious advice. Without them, the map would be in a much worse state!

All credits for the portal gun on/off concept go to FLooper and tuleby (CZ).
All credits for the futbol go to Valve and TeamSpen210.

Very nice set! Neat to see Fleetingness return, though with a slightly different taste. I particularly liked that there was a "wrong" way to initially collect the second futbol in the third puzzle, which is uncommon with physics objects. Perhaps worth noting that I skipped a very small set of steps in your solution video by performing the technique seen at 10:39 roughly around 6:46.

@jandlml
Haha yeah futbols tend to break easily, that's their whole deal :P thanks for playing as always, I appreciate it!
@Spider_Dawg
Thank you! Minor variations are fine. Happy you had fun!

Excellent puzzle, thanks! Solved as intended, with minor variations. Thinking with futbols is fun!

Thanks a lot for recording and posting your blind run! It was an absolute joy to watch, and I appreciate the comments through the console <3 great job solving it, even though you did solve room 3 unintendedly. Being able to bypass the overlapping funnels is quite a feat in itself, I couldn't pull it off personally :P
@Calimero
The solution for room 3 is quite subtle, yeah. The move in your spoiler tags is unintended indeed, and it was fixed in the last update!
@bullfrog
Thank you so much for your dedication and continued support! It's only natural for me to be here to help, when you're spending your time on my creation :) you did great solving this one, as it's not so easy, and bringing that unintended move in room 3 to my attention, thanks to you I was able to fix it!

Excellent set of puzzles, especially chambers 2 and three :steamthumbsup: and added to favourites. Thank you for your feedback to my six unlisted videos and questions over the last four days, but not telling me what to do, plus also letting me know that my solution to chamber two was an acceptable variation of what you intended. These are the solutions I used for each chamber:
chamber 1, chamber 2 and chamber 3.
Also, thank you for letting me know yesterday that this doggy move in chamber 3 is unintended, but at I was stuck and obviously desperate ;)

Had an idea for the third part, but always failed by a bit. Maybe futbol fling and grab it opposite grating is wrong?

Alright 90+ minutes of gaming later I have cracked it. There's 6 parts of the playthrough as youtube won't verify me (guess im on too many lists :P) and limits me to 15 minute vids. Is any of it worth watching? Idk, you can be the judge. Spent an hour on room 3. In hindsight I don't understand why. Parts 4,5 and the first 8 mins of 6 make barely any progress but if you like watching someone lose their mind it's a good watch. Playlist
