Description
Emil Walked up to the Plinth, the bright blue Eriwick waters lapping onto the pristine sands whilst sea gulls squalled all around him. He looked upon the rusted hull of "The ship that won the Revolution." Its flag still raised high, the crimson embroidery unfazed after over a year. He read the plaque listing all of the names of the men who died at the battle of Arblast on the sea. "Wilson, Jones, Alma, Adams..." he read to himself. He had a vibrant bouquet of flowers of all colors with him. Emil stooped to place the flowers when a voice called to him.

"General Chairman Jacobson?" The gentle voice called. It was a woman, no older than her late 30s with jet black hair, brown eyes and freckles dotting her rosy cheeks looked at him with such sorrow it reminded Emil of his mother in her final moments. She was also carrying flowers along with a photo.

"Yes? By the way no need for the formality here... You can call me Emil." He laid the flowers at the foot of the plaque.

"My brother died in one of those boats." She stated. "A cannon round went through his head." I haven't told him I loved him." The woman started to sob, with tears starting to stream down her freckled face.

"So many good men lost... from the greed of so few. Those animals are gone that killed him." Tears started to well in Emil's eyes and under his eyepatch. His scarred face scowling.

The woman picked up her dress as she placed the boquet and the picture. She was crying, "I've lost more than you understand Emil. My home was burned, my brother gone." She said while wiping her tears.

"I've seen what evil can do first hand, your brother did not die in vain. He died so you can live without fear." Emil said empathetically, staring at the bold statue holding a large torch. His memory flashing to his mother's scream as his father was shot right in front of him.

The woman moved in for a hug, she grabbed him and broke down. Emil grabbed her tightly as she wailed on his shoulder. "It's alright miss, its time to move on and live free, it's what your brother would have wanted." He stuttered as he patted her back. "This...This kind of misery... caused by corruption and pettiness... Its malignant tendrils touching every nation. You are safe here, no longer shall any brother, mother and father feel your grief from such a scourge on this world."

Emil let go of the woman, walking away sniffling as another single tear spilled from under his eyepatch rolling down his scarred face. Slowly, he made his way down the gravel path to his private limousine. He stared through the chauffeur holding the door for him as he stepped into the vehicle. The sound of the sea washing onto the Arblast beach still echoing through the door.
