The Compaq Deskpro /286

Welcome back to another old computer build! This time, it's the Compaq Deskpro /286!

The Deskpro is a series of desktop computers manufactured by Compaq from 1984-2002. The specific model built here, the /286 model, released in 1984 as a competitor to the IBM 5150. It was considerably faster due to having an 8MHz processer (8086 CPU), among other things. It had higher resolution on the monitor as well, however, the 5150 still did better in sales. That does not mean it did not sell in large numbers, however, as in mid-1987, 90,000 units were sold. The Deskpro was the best-selling Compaq desktop ever made.
