Description

Hi followers and fans!!
The Uniforms and Heraldry of the Vampire Counts III is here!!
Screenshoots can be easily seen in WHII version https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2378916005

This is a graphical mod that changes appearence, in a more lore-friendly way, for some units. There are no specific Vampire Counts heraldry official documentation, so I tried to give some more love to this faction and I hope you will understand the big effort behind this little mod.

The results are:
- Three new different armour and textures, some shields variants and better colour patterns for Grave Guards and Black Knights (f.e. Vlad Von Carstein's Grave Guards wear rusted iron armours, Kemmler's Grave Guards wear bronze armours, Mannfred Von Carstein Grave Guards wear discolored painted bronze armor)
- Two new armours and shields types for skeleton warriors ( iron with bronze edging version and bronze with iron edging version). No different factions shields decals for skeleton shields, only alternate colour variants.
- More skeleton warriors helmets variants
- New reworked factions banners, emblems and colours (BIG BIG thanks and credits to [HN] who gave me permission to use some of his banner mod stuffs)
- New Wight King armour textures (no more bronze armour) and new helm variant (removed model 01 since I don't like it at all)
- Restored Vlad Von Carstein diffuse face texture (using parts of WHII texture)
- Some others minors textures fixes and improvements

A lot of you know me, and you know that when I plan lore-friendly goodies I do lore-friendly goodies ...
I was a Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures collector and painter since I was a child and I collected a lot of miniatures of different races (Empire, Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins and High Elves).

The main guidelines I used to make heraldry and shields emblems are taken from all recent warhammer fantasy official documentations and artworks (thanks to Dave Gallagher splendid artworks).
Every textures was wisely edited keeping always in mind these documentations and, if missing, keeping always in mind lore standards.

The new armours and shields texture are applied differently to each Vampire Counts faction:

- Vlad Von Carstein : Black Knights and grave Guards wear rusted iron armours and specific shields decals, Skeleton Warriors wears iron with bronze edging armours and shields
- Mannfred Von Carstein (Vampire Counts): Black Knights and grave Guards wear discolored painted bronze armors and specific shields decals, Skeleton Warriors wears iron with bronze edging armours and shields
- Heinrich Kemmler (The Barrow Legion): Black Knights and grave Guards wear bronze armors, Skeleton Warriors wears bronze with iron edging armours and shields
- Red Duke (Mousillon): same Mannfred armours and shields types but with black Lily shields decals
- Strygos Empire: same Mannfred armours and shields types but no shields decals
- Templehof, Rebels, Lahmian Sisterood, Necrarch Brotherhood, Silver Host: same Heinrich Kemmler armours and shields variants

Probably I'll improve this mod with more decals, don't worry and if you have suggestions comment!!

GRAPHICS AND VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS SUGGESTIONS

I suggest people to use Reshade [reshade.me]. With this new FX Injector you can directly create your custom profile.
Please, read the Reshade instructions and installation process in the official site forum.
Here you can find the link for my preset for Reshade 4.3 : Gigiauz's Reshade Preset [sfx.thelazy.net]
To load the preset on Reshade click "HOME" key, then you will see a bar with a "+" at the top , click the "+" key and add my preset.

This mod is a part of a big lore-friendly retextures project. Other uniforms and heraldry will be realized for other faction too and probably those graphical mod will be used for a possible new regional recruitment system... soo do not forget it! ;)

For the larger 3D version of the flag you could alternatively use a more complex texture like in [G-T-F] Gnombert's Von Carstein Rebanner mod, but keep the nice, crisp, simplified banner texture for the 2D UI banners. :)

I really like your flags. I especially like how you use a different texture for the different size versions of the flags. The small icon flags are really crisp and sharp. However, I think the heraldry on the large version of the Von Carstein banner looks kind of strange and out of place with the "white on red" look, instead of the usual black background. It's missing the "party per bend sable" in the heraldry. What if you were to add back the black region to the larger 3D flag texture?

I hope we see the Beastmen next, because they still need to be ported over too.

So what is the next uniform mod to be ported over? Beastmen? or Southern Realms?

I love your work, but I was wondering if your Uniform and Heraldry mods are compatible with Radious?

@Murthór Oathstóne: donation is not mandatory, don't worry

Also I hope you won't give up on the remaining two mods that you have yet to port over on account of the ignorant laziness of others, Some of us actually appreciate your work and see you as one of the better modders for this game.

@Gigiuaz, I live month to month so I cannot really afford to donate you for your work, I would if I were in better financial situation. Also I read the descriptions, only things I ever complained about were bug issues really.
