Description
This addon contains an edited version of the KAvali player-model mesh to add source-engine eyes, and edited parameters for the materials used, the original addon is still required for the textures themselves.

(Even if you subscribe to this addon, the original will not be changed in any way. This model will be available as a separate player-model!)

  • Adds eyes controlled by Source's EyeRefract shader instead of being a texture, they can move around and you can pose them, I tried to stay close to the original style
  • Adds noticeable rimlights to the body, feathers and armor. (The armor looks very shiny now!)
  • Uses a custom lightwarp texture to modify the lighting and make it look better (In my opinion)

little muscles like a human eye but not a ball. Thats the important part. :SBHorse:

The jumping spider, however, moves the back retina around. This is different to an avali because they have little muscles on their eye so it can move slightly like one solid squat 'tube' or convex dish instead of a soft tube. I dunno, maybe I just made this up on the spot but I swore I read it somewhere.

Oh! Its more like the tubular eye structure of an owl or jumping spider but shortenned so it fits in their little heads!

Their eyes are not full balls but round sections of a sphere, thats where the dinner plate idea comes from. The visible iris is what makes the slight eye movements noticeable

I mean, technically they can with a small radius but it would be unnoticable since their eye is normally entirely black. Its like moving a dinner plate around a circular hole. I think. Also, Having a more humanlike iris at least slightly visible is appealing.
