The BM "Oplot" is a Ukrainian main battle tank developed by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau. Work on the tank began in the late 1990s as an upgrade of the T-80. The main goal was to create a modern tank that would meet the demands of contemporary combat, featuring improved armor, more powerful weaponry, and an advanced fire control system.

The first prototype was unveiled in 2000. The "Oplot" stands out for its composite armor, new engine, thermal imaging sights, and automated fire control system. At the time of its creation, it was one of the most advanced tanks in the world
