MA Dalriada, The Old Alliance

Description
Version 0.4

Adds the nation 'Dalriada, The Old Alliance' to the Middle Age.

"Dalriada is a mountainous nation ruled by the descendants of the Fir Bolgs that escaped the fall of Fomoria. When the Fomorians made war with the armies of Man, their fate was bloody and absolute. Most Fir Bolg died in the fighting or surrendered, but some escaped to found the kingdom of Dalriada. War has been the constant companion of the young nation, as the Fir Bolg first clashed with the natives of the land, then with raiders from a far away land, the Vanir, and then with the conquerors of the Tuatha, the armies of Man. For now, the three landed races of Fir Bolg, Humans and Vanir have formed an tenuous alliance, but few trust peace to hold for long.

With their own nation, the Fir Bolg of Dalriada have sought to define a culture apart from Fomoria. The few remaining true Nemedians are revered and the Fir Bolg swear by their heritage as the sons of Nemed, even as Nemedian traditions like bronze armaments and spellsong are discarded."

Dalriada is a successor nation to the Fir Bolg of EA Fomoria and is roughly based on Scotland during and after its emergence as a sovereign state. The nation has a focus on non-sacred mages and troops, with a variety of superhuman infantry, strong battle mages and a throwback to the Dominions 5 conception of the Knights of Avalon.

Great to hear someone vibes with it. I'll admit I was probably a bit conservative with the Stolen Ones, since I didn't want to make them a defining part of the nation. At some point I'll hopefully get around to making some unique spells for the nation as well.

Iiinteresting. Yeah this seems cool. I think given their weaknesses you could justify giving Stolen Ones some better armour, which would also help to differentiate them from being Tuatha Warriors Again with some downsides, and I have a couple quibbles with some of the descriptions (mostly that capitalising magic paths seems unnecessary and clunky in descriptions), but this has definitely got some sauce. I look forward to taking it for a spin sometime.
