these also look perfect for the newer australian housing developments of the 2010s and 2020s, particularly places like Tarneit

How big are these in-game? Hard to tell without the grid for reference. Are these 2x2? They look quite small.

I have plans to release a decorated version, though Im not sure when.

I think maybe a growable version with some very simple decorations included, so it doesnt just stand in the grass
