OPERATION ODESSA - UKRAINE SIDE (March 2022 events)

Description
Ukrainian War, March 10, 2022. The Russians are preparing a landing operation in Odessa with the aim of controlling the entire Black Sea coast. Your objective is to prevent it.Your forces are limited, the Russians have penetrated many parts of the country.Sink enough enemy ships to push the Russians back to Crimea.

Disclaimer :
- The units present during the landing (x2 Alligator, x5 Ropucha, Moskva cruiser, Grisha-class corvette, 1 minesweeper) are units presented on satellite images in March 2022 off the coast of Odessa or photographed near it. (Missing Admiral Gorshkovs but not present in the game).
- Tu-22M3s have been replaced by Tu-22M2s in the game, however AS-4 missiles are widely used by Russia in Ukraine in 2022.
- The air defense sites are located in nearby areas in reality and are inspired by real events (Ukraine reactivated S-125s sites in 2020).
- Neptune missiles are not available in large numbers, Ukraine using its last stock of SS-N-2 (P-15 Termit) missiles.
- The date 2022 is not available, so I use 1982.

Tips :
- Use your Su-24Ms with caution, their loss will complicate the operation.

Have fun and let me know if you have any improvements or problems.

Did you consider using real photos or something else? Those AI pictures look quite bad.

Hi @Ridersfan232

Thank you for your feedback, I think I will have to add the "SS-N-2 overhaul" mod :steammocking:

The main danger for the SS-N-2 is the Moksva, in theory, the Su-24M "SEAD" are supposed to be damaged (or sink) the Moksva quite quickly, it is therefore necessary to conserve your Su-24M in order to be able to carry out several strikes during the game.

Once the Moksva is neutralized, the SS-N-2 (which you must launch at the same time) should be able to neutralize a few Ropucha or Alligator.

Thank you, I had already had the opportunity to discuss it on the discord, unfortunately despite the correct manipulation in the .ini file
Unable to make airfield empty

I have tried this 2 times now and I just cant get anything to hit their ships. If a missile goes through their defences it flies of the top and if not they shoot it down. Its pretty much impossible and all of their missiles hit perfectly. I'm probably doing something wrong but yeah.

If you want to edit the small airfield's air group, suggest you have a look at the Custom Air Groups chapter of Techno's excellent Mission Creation Community Guide.

Hi @King Homer
It is normal that the first wave of Russian missiles causes damage, especially on the SA-8 and S-125.

But the S-200 and the S-300 are notably capable of intercepting many Russian missiles + planes, and the ukrainian Su-24M (SEAD) are capable of attacking Russian ships and causing a lot of damage.

In addition, the Russian AS-4B from Tu-22M are quite imprecise, half of them crash far from the targets.

(don't forget either that you can set the units "Weapons Free" "Weapons Tight"... but also the radars that you can activate/deactivate for discretion)

Cheers

Not sure if the mods are making it impossible but I got spammed with so many missiles I lost all my units after 5-10 minutes.

@jude
Yes, it requires some adjustments but I could do the scenario on the Russian side, I would probably add a "landing" part with the appearance of armored vehicles on the beach
