Description
HermitCrab Task Announcement (Client Mod)
A lightweight client-side mod for Don’t Starve Together.
This mod allows server hosts/admins to quickly fetch the Crabby Hermit (Pearl) friendship tasks and see which ones are completed (O) or incomplete (X) via chat. Non-host clients currently see a notice indicating that only the host can do this, with more client features planned in the future.



Usage
  • Subscribe to this mod on the Steam Workshop (or place it in your mods/ directory).
  • Enable the mod in your in-game Mod Configuration screen.
  • If you are the host/admin, press CTRL + N (by default) during gameplay. The mod will retrieve the Hermit’s tasks from the server and display them in chat.
  • If you are not the host/admin, you will see a short message stating that only the host can currently view the quest details.
  • You can change the hotkey in the mod’s configuration. Default is N.



Features
  • Displays all 18 major tasks for the Crabby Hermit (Pearl), such as House Upgrades (Levels 1~3), Flowers, Trash Removal, Berries, Meat Racks, Lureplant Removal, Umbrella, Winter Coat, Flower Salad, Seasonal Heavy Fish, Five Heavy Ocean Fish, and Wooden Chair Construction.
  • Uses O (completed) and X (not completed) in one concise chat line.
  • Provides a “progress” percentage based on how many tasks are completed (up to 10 tasks for 100%).



Supported Languages
This mod supports a variety of languages! Language is detected automatically based on your game settings, or can be forced in the mod configuration.

Planned Updates
  • Additional client-side logic for non-host players (estimating progress without direct server console access).

The mod was recently updated with Vietnamese support in the latest update. Since you offered to help, I was hoping you might be able to look over the current translation and provide any feedback. Your expertise would be a great asset.

Currently, I see that this mod does not support the Vietnamese language. I would like to contribute to the Vietnamese localization of this mod. Would that be possible?

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the HermitCrab Task Announcement mod!

The mod has been checked & multi-language chat announcements (EN, KO, ES, CN, etc.) are working.

If you have issues:
1. Update Mod: Ensure you have the latest version.
2. Check Config: Go to Mods -> Configure Mod.
3. Set Announcement Language. ('Auto' uses game language. Note: Config menu is English).
4. Check Announce Key (Default: Ctrl + N).
5. Host/Admin Only: The announcement feature only works for server hosts/admins. Clients see a notice.

If you're the host/admin & still have issues after checking these, please comment with details. Thanks!
