God I love this. After playing two or three "mediums" with mechanics worthy of "hard" it was very nice to encounter a "hard" that feels both properly "hard" and very much fair. Latter half being more devoid of food might be tough, and the hordes are tricky to do, but that is much more okay than what, say, "Merchant's Remorse" was doing on Normal. Because this is advertised as Hard. Hard implies advanced mechanics and longer strings.
And again, this feels fair. Enemies are structured (even if hordes of slimes are hard to see), and even on the first attempt a decent play can take you far because of a very solid healing distribution. What a breath of fresh air. Love it.
