[FR] M4A1 Sherman FL10

Description
The Sherman M4A1 FL10 is a late 1950's modification of the Sherman M4A1 hull with an AMX-13 turret affixed to its roof. In the early 1950s french engineers were searching for a way to modernize their aging fleet of American made Sherman tanks. Instead of scrapping the aging fighting vehicles, They sought to up-gun and improve upon the Sherman, making it capable to fight in the early cold war. They decided to use the 75 mm SA50 L/57 cannon as did the Israelis with their M-50 Super Shermans. The AMX-13 turret also came with the benefit of an auto-loader. A prototype mainly made for export purposes, the French Army was not impressed by its new Sherman prototype as the AMX-13's turret armor was very thin compared to the Sherman hull, and did not improve upon or exceed the Sherman (76)W. It's successor, the M4A4 FL10 was used by Egypt in the Suez Crisis and the 6 Day War with Israel.

This vehicle was made with Dach's M4A1 Sherman and KLever's AMX-13 posted below. Please try out and subscribe to their creations.
