Toffee Pop joins the battle!
This young hedgehog is a being created by mystical sentient jewels from the distant planet Gem. Imbued with the power to manipulate and absorb energy, it is his born purpose to protect the galaxy... though he's currently a little busy with his deadend wage slave job at a shoe store and goofing off in combat sports.

This is my Sonic fan character from my childhood, hence why he's named after a biscuit. He means a lot to my creative journey!

SPECIAL MECHANICS:
Toffee Pop can store up to 3 Surplus Charges, which can be used to enhance his special moves!
He can gain a charge by pressing taunt or tanking an attack with Down Special.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: Shield/Blade
Tap the special button to briefly summon a Shield that reflects projectiles. Tap the button again to swing a big energy Blade!

Hold down the first press to spend a Surplus Charge and activate Honoured Shield, an advancing tackle move.

Hold down the second press to spend a Surplus Charge and activate Honoured Blade, which fires off a Toffee Pop-shaped (the cookie, not the hedgehog) projectile! It'll stun your opponent for an easy followup.

SIDE SPECIAL: Spin Dash
Hold down the special button to rev up Toffee's Spin Dash to level 1 or 2. He'll rocket forwards in a ball, which can be cancelled into jump or Running A.

If you have a Surplus Charge, holding down the button will instead result in an Honoured Spin Dash, which ends with a rising flip kick.

UP SPECIAL: Toffee Copter
Toffee Pop creates an energy spear and twirls it like a propeller to move upwards. You can act out of this move!

Hold down the special button to spend a Surplus Charge for an Honoured Toffee Copter, which travels further and launches the enemy.

DOWN SPECIAL: Absorb
Toffee braces himself to absorb energy from an enemy attack. Time this move right when your enemy throws a punch, and Toffee will armour through the attack and gain one Surplus Charge.

If you already have 3 Surplus Charges, pressing Down Special will instead result in an Honoured Burst: a quick blast of energy great for KOing foes.

ULTRA: Honoured Buster
Nothing too crazy here - just your run-of-the-mill projectile super.

Hold down the special button to spend a Surplus charge for a Shin Honoured Buster! This variant has improved stats and homing properties.
