greetings! do you like more dungeons and weapons and furniture? do you also like protogens? have you experienced dismay at the fact that if you like both of these things and want to use both at the same time, starbound immediately starts crying and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ itself to death upon booting? if so, you may be entitled to compensation in the form of this very ducktaped together fix!

to be serious for a moment, this is a tweaked version of the very cocomelon more dungeons, weapons and furniture by Amee102 to resolve duplicate material id crashes when used alongside the Protogen Race mod by Bun and co.! all this does is change the duplicate material ids in more dungeons, weapons and furniture to something else - specifically between the ranges of 10100 to 10115, which was chosen after using the wiki mod material id page[starbounder.org] to determine a id range not in use. nothing else has been touched! that’s it!

if you are using the original more dungeons, weapons and furniture, you need to UNSUBSCRIBE from it as this is a tweaked reupload! if the original author wants me to take this down, lmk, it’s not a problem and i won’t take it personally, but for now…enjoy!

Q: why?
A: the author of more dungeons, weapons and furniture is MIA and has been for almost half a decade and the author of the protogen race mod has previously indicated that they won’t change the mod’s material ids for compatability. so…i elected to do the most straightforward solution within my ability range! also to just make things easy for my gf for when we eventually play. also also just in-case it might spark joy for somebody on here the world needs more joy i think

Q: patch?
A: i am many things. i am a writer. i am a type b personality (mostly) (in theory). i am a humanities/social science kinda guy. i am, (unfortunately), a photoshop baby (the ipad baby’s much worser cousin) (remember folks it’s always morally correct to…y’know, from adobe). but one thing i am not is a coder, and my fear was that i’d probably break something trying to do a patch - i’d rather share something that is functional rather than something that isn’t! i am comfortable looking up some numbers and changing them. i presently am not confident trying to do patches for those changes. that being said, i do like learning, and if somebody wants to try and teach a humanities/social science person how to do it, i’m more than willing to give it a shot!

Q: does this work with more planet info patches for more dungeons, weapons, and furniture?
A: it should! it’s literally the same mod just with some numbers changed - it’d be weird if it didn’t! even more so because i play with MPI and played with one of those patches!

A: if you recognize me it’s probably because i posted a bit on starbound reddit a long time ago and i totally forgot i posted this what the ♥♥♥♥ why is past me funnier than current me i need to start making this content again (also i think im the title holder for most mods played together at once w/ the game still functional) (that number is 2,068) (yes that includes frackin universe there is no sign that can get me to stop doing what i do) (i do it for the love of the sport) (you just kinda start to know what will work and what won’t on instinct it’s wild it’s like akin to riding a bike or driving a car muscle memory)
