Thanks, yeah it might be easier for some people at double speed! I'd be curious to see someone else's take on it

It's definitely a good chart, but it's a bit too slow for me, so I'm not the biggest fan. Great job though.

Thanks so much! I love hearing the "crunch" noises from on-beat food items, they're second only to the loud "WHOOSH" of an on-beat blademaster. Glad you're enjoying it 😀

Amazing job! I feel like this track's beats line up with the music the most out of any custom track I've tried so far, those apple sections in particular.

Out of curiosity, I calculated the timings of Unity in an audio editor to confirm. The gaps in question which I used Blue Armadillos for are 185 ms. At 105 BPM, a full beat of Unity lasts 571 ms, so these armadillos span 0.323 of a beat. You're right that these do not strictly follow the music, but the alternatives you propose fare far worse:

Triplets: 0.333 of a beat, 190 ms (+5 ms)
16ths: 0.25 of a beat, 142 ms (-42 ms)
Dotted eighths: 0.75 of a beat, 428 ms (+243 ms)
Dotted sixteenths: 0.375 of a beat, 214 ms (+29 ms)

A triplet (blue armadillo) is the most correct choice, out of what I consider to be the reasonable alternatives.

To be 100% adherent to the song's timing, the song would need to be recharted with 100% custom notes which fell on Unity's swing notes -- but it also need to be doubled or quadrupled to 210/420 BPM, as even the minimum 1/72 subdivision allowed by Rift Of The Necrodancer corresponds to 8 milliseconds at 105 BPM.

Which armadillos do you specifically think are "not triplets"?

Of course music is subjective, but I hear Unity as 6/8 time and the blue armadillos only appear on the syncopated sections where they fit the rhythym. Maybe you hear it differently!

I liked it a lot

Great song choice, but I dunno, I think this chart feels more like a mess than it feels cohesive. There's way too many enemies of different off-beats phasing through each other constantly as they slide forward at different times, and you keep using the armadillos for rhythms that are not triplets (usually 16ths + dotted-8ths) so they don't actually line up with the audio rhythm.
