hmm

maybe you could try making colorable hl:s hands instead?
this addon has them, although doesn't the default sleeve texture, only the crossbow. you could edit it to make it look like the normal sleeve texture I suppose. I tried doing it myself but couldn't get it to properly being colorable

yea it replaces the animations of the weapons nothing else, not very noticeable
