I HEAVILY RECOMMEND PLAYING WITH MUSIC VOLUME TURNED UP! Be warned that this mission is very heavy.

Three billion human lives ended on August 29, 1997. The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare: the war against the Machines. Those spared by the blasts and who had survived the subsequent radiation were stuck in a constant life-or-death fight for survival. Many of us clung to life in underground bunkers, basements, bombed out buildings, anything we could find and use for shelter.

When the fallout settled, we had no idea that the surface was just as unsafe after the radiation as it was before.

We are the survivors of Los Angeles, banded together to form the Resistance. Most of us are just old men wearing rags and carrying a hodgepodge of weaponry, mostly antiques and makeshift stuff, but there's a more organized force that's arrived from San Diego to support us; they're calling themselves Tech-Com, and apparently they're the remnants of a Marine Corps unit, though they've built up quite a lot over the decades... And they're packing plasma weaponry, and heavy guns. Tanks and helicopters, too. Not so many planes; everything we've got that isn't ancient-as-hell UH-1s, are literal museum pieces with rebuilt engines and new guns, since the old ones were deactivated or gutted.

The Machines are here. They've arrived in force, T-200s and T-400s are swarming out from across the ruined highway, supported by Hunter-Killer tanks and fliers. Their aim is probably to slaughter those of us that resist, and capture the ones that don't, so they can send them off to camps to be worked to death. There's no way we'll be able to stand up to them for long, so the goal is to hold them off to make time for the civilians and the main bulk of our force to retreat North. Make no mistake, this will be one of the toughest battles of the war yet, but we're so stretched thin that we can't afford to hold our position here any longer. We have to sacrifice five hundred to save five thousand...

Whatever you do, never give up. Make them pay for every inch of ground they take.

Also I really appreciate it Candarian. I'll probably be making more missions once the Nanking campaign DLC comes out, since it has WAY more urban buildings I can use for ruins.

Yep, the Maus is actually put there on purpose to make them really hard to beat. Basically the only thing that can kill them are the plane bombs dropped DIRECTLY onto the the Maus

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SPAWN ON THE OFFENSE TEAM! There are NO spawns enabled for the attackers. Play as USA only.
