Boletus

Boletus (meaning "Mushroom") is here to examine the mushrooms on the Smack Studio loading screen, ideally while playing against Vesta or some other Floof character so that he has plenty of time to look at the mushrooms while they load into the game.

Boletus is a commoner who is obsessed with mushrooms. He uses them to make culinary dishes and medicine, and he can also use them in battle to gain a tactical edge on the opponent. He plays as a trapper character with throws and command grabs that allow him to throw opponents into his traps and control the stage well. He is also fairly fast and can juggle you if you aren't careful.

SPECIALS

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: REVERSAL THROW
Boletus lunges forward slightly with a command grab. If it hits, he throws the opponent backwards at a very low angle. This is best used to throw the opponent into mushrooms that you have set up on the ground

SIDE SPECIAL: POWDER BOMB
Boletus scatters a dense cloud of spores from one of the pouches on his belt. This attack can reflect projectiles and also stuns opponents a bit. In addition, there is a window of super armor on the move. A great defensive option, albeit one that requires good timing to make proper use of.

UP SPECIAL: COILED FUNGUS
A springy mushroom launches Boletus into the air. The mushroom can also hit opponents, popping them up. You may cancel this move by pressing shield, resulting in Boletus jumping forwards off the mushroom a short distance.

DOWN SPECIAL: SPREAD FILAMENTS
Boletus can spread the spores of three different types of mushrooms. Press B to spawn a healing mushroom that heals whoever eats it for 15%. Press A to spawn an explosive mushroom that kills and deals 15% to whoever touches it, and press Jump to spawn a stunning mushroom that stuns whoever touches it for a while. Mushrooms are planted first and take time to grow. Each mushroom has its own cooldown and you can have more than one mushroom alive at a time.

ULTRA: FUNGAL ORDNANCE
Boletus plants three purple mushrooms that fire their caps like homing missiles at any opponent.
