Description
NICTD Nippon Sharyo Single Level Units contain 3 train cars used on the South Shore Line. These consist of 2 different classes of EMU vehicles, and a trailer. NICTD took the first order of EMUs in 1981, there were bi-directional EMUs. In 1992 Nippon Sharyo delivered 10 unpowered coaches to be added. These coaches today do have a single catenary installed on them to provide auxiliary power to the coaches as the EMUs were not built with HEP for unpowered attached vehicles. Finally in 2001 NICTD recieved single direction EMUs from Nippon Sharyo, these vehicles are virtually identical to those delivered 20 years prior, but are 2' shorter, and have support for ADA boardings and seating.

This mod includes mulit-units 2-8 cars longs. In real life the South Shore Line's substations cannot handle more than 6 power cars in a single unit and so trailer coaches must be used if operating over that limit. This mod follows that real life restriction. If you wish to run more then 6 EMUs; units are able to coupled in the custom train editor.

Is there any chance you could look into making some more interuban style stuff? Like PE Blimp cars or generic Niles interurban coaches? I love these cars!

There's a typo in the mass of Nippon Sharyo NICTD EMU being far heavier than it's meant to be.
