Last vestige of the great american railroads. The Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad survived over a hundred years, battling every hardship a railroad could face. After 1988's Purchase of Southern Pacific the railroad started to fall to obscurity. Then in 1996 the Union & Southern Pacifics railroads merger absolved any evidence of the little railroad that could. Now, you can relive the 1950's glory days of the Gen. Palmer's little narrow gauge, that became the mountain railroad empire of the west.
