Description
This mod is adding a new event which allows the player to dispose toxic waste for a fee.



Do you also get requests where someone wants to dump their toxic waste to your colony and pays you for it?
Now you can do (almost) the same. Just wait for a new event: a toxic waste disposal opportunity and pay another spaceship for taking your toxic waste away.

The event requires an orbital trade console to trigger. The disposal itself needs orbital trade beacon(s) with silver and the waste items in their radius.

The price for each toxic item is calculated based on is weight.



Any modded toxic item which uses the same system for toxic waste from the biotech-dlc will also be recognized by this mod.

Can this be safly added to an ongoing safe?
Yes.

Can this be safly removed from an ongoing safe?
Probably.



Why?
Roleplay. Dumping it off into the environment might be fine if you are planning to leave the planet, but what If you want to stay there?
Biotech just doesn't have the tools to get rid of the wastepack production of a large amount of colony mechs.
This is meant as a tool to manage large amounts of mechs better in combination with the wastepack atomizer.
I don't want to reduce the impact of the wastepack atomizer - thats why the prices are so high, but if you are only useing small amounts of mechs, you might not need wastepack atomizers anymore.

Aren't there better mods out there for disposal of toxic waste?
Stronger for sure, better depends entirely on your views :)

Is this a trader and does it reduce the number of real traders if used?
No, the event I am adding is not a trader, I just made the UI look similar. Instead of blocking a trader, this event might roll instead of another positive event like a psychic soothe.

Does this mod make toxic wastepacks sellable?
No, the event I am adding is not a real trader. Rimworld also does not support negative market values.

Hey, I just discovered you - great mods! Love all the tribal + mech integration, and the new solar panels - looking forward to seeing what else you do with Odyssey! Tribal spacecraft?!

I was wondering where the "Compressed toxic waste" from the screenshot is from? Is that another of your mods, or some vanilla thing I overlooked? Same with the "waster shell"?

This sounds very reasonable. I get paid for taking others’ waste. I should be able to do the same. Perfect reasoning + roleplay.

No other mods are needed as requirements.

This mod, for whatever reason, seems to throw an error claiming that it "Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at UI/Buttons/AV_MechanitorColors in any active mod or in base resources." Is there a hidden dependency for the AV mechinator framework or is there something left over that needs to be removed?

Thank you for taking a look at it! I think that's exactly the problem. The counter doesn't appear on the right side again after showing up once in the game—unless I restart the save.

You take some of their waste, and they pay you in exchange
