Description
There's now a proper mod with proper models and actual physical cables here:

So, I suggest if you have the this mods pulleys in a save and don't want to break the design of a ship or station, go in creative mode for said save with both mods, delete the experimental pulley and replace with the one I linked above and save the world. Now you can safely remove this experimental mod from it and enjoy.

It has no build stages, will probably CTD if you grind it or place it in survival.
I'm not saying it wont CTD anymore, but not because of missing construction stages.😂

Has ofc no LOD still. It's a quick modeling job to set me up to code the actual crane thing.
Still some issues here and there but I'll sort it out hopefully. 🤞🤣

Reach: roughly 400 meters max distance.
It's basically a piston with modeling changes and me trying to add fake cables cuz that's the extent of my ability and engines as well. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

UPDATE 1
○ Fixed where the last placed pulley motor would have wires/cables rendered.
○ Fixed pulley top being offset inside blocks.
○ Fixed rotor not stopping when the pulley top isn't moving.

UPDATE 2
○ Added the pistons construction stages. I know, look ridiculous but hey, no errors or crashes.

UPDATE 3
○ I think I finally managed to fix the damn subparts placements. Sheesh....

UPDATE 4
○ Added a very unstable small grid 100m pulley motor.
(USE INERTIAL TENSOR AND GOOD LUCK!)

Now, it might be too late for SE1 but perhaps we can get these in SE2 so please support this feedback, the earlier, the better and also do make your own feedbacks and suggestions etc there too!!

This mod inspired me to use a piston for the pulley motor as I failed to make an actual physics based pulley.
Also the 497.5 meters limit is an homage to it. He accounted for the piston block height while I didn't really care and just kept it at that value.

Heh, thanks xD. It was a kitbash tho and I'm not into modeling that much. Too busy coding so I've let others do models instead. The new core script is made so anyone can make their pulley mod along side mine, will look into making a tutorial or something. Busy making other mod now so.... Hope ya'll looking forward to that one too. <3

Too bad... Personally, I liked the first pulley model (except for the cable) You could see that it consisted of standard blocks, but it didn't break out of the overall style of the game.

It was the first iteration and experimental, it allowed for Advanced Pulley Systems to exist lol. You should use the Advanced Pulley Systems, this one is just there so it won't break already connected grids in saves so it can be replaced with the proper mod. xD

Yes indeed, the small pulley very unstable. I don't know if it's model or something else is up. Since I have my broken models to work with, I don't know the code just draws cabels so that's not it. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

@knight before down It's space engineers and a piston, and a 400 meters one at that, it will never be stable. xDDDDDDDD
