Angaur Island

Angaur Island is an island just South of Peleliu. As part of the Peleliu campaign it was invaded 2 days after Peleliu by 10,000 US Army soldiers of the 81st Infantry Division. Facing light resistance at the beaches, they fought fierce Japanese defenses at Green Beach and in 'The Bowl', a fortified limestone depression. Tanks, artillery, and flamethrowers crushed the last holdouts, securing the island after weeks of brutal combat. At the end 264 army soldiers were killed and over a thousand were injured. On the Japanese side 1,350 lost their lives, every single defender on the island was killed except 50 who were captured alive.

Angaur at the time was a Japanese outpost with phosphate mines worked by forced labor.

Notable features are:
Ngeremasch Village – A native Palauan village, mostly abandoned before the invasion.
The Bowl – A heavily fortified limestone depression where the Japanese made their last stand.
Middle Village – A small Palauan settlement. It may have been a minor Japanese supply point
Phosphate Plant – It was worked by forced labor before the battle and later abandoned

This Map is about 1 kilometer by 1 kilometer. so on the bigger side, and based on several maps of the battle and island, it is pretty accurate but not perfect as it was made by hand.

This map requires the attached asian flora mod, and i recommend you use valour for Japanese troops, of course.
