Description
CEP 3 Current Version: 3.1.3

Documentation is listed online on the Wiki page.

https://nwn.wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=49447049 (link is external)

NOTE: I am not the author of this, but it is uploaded to the Workshop with permission from the current curator Winternite, to make it easier to install and update CEP3 for players.

Authors: Winternite, The Amethyst Dragon, Pstemarie, CEP Teams and NWN Community

CEP 3 page on the Vault:
https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwnee/hakpak/combined/cep-3-community-expansion-pack

CEP3 is used to play modules and Persistent Worlds (PW) made with CEP3. It will not affect the original campaign or modules not made with CEP3. Older modules made with CEP1 or CEP2.xx still need those to run.

UPDATE: April 15th 2025: Included old TLK-files in main TLK directory, to make it easier to play mods that use older versions of CEP3, without having to manually move the files.

The CEP 3.1.3 update primary new features are the Doom of Icewind Dale assets, and other creations from vault members. https://nwn.wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=138346509 (link is external) will have more info.

The Community Expansion Pack (CEP) is a large hak pak collection of free, community-made custom content. Most of the included material comes from content previously posted on the Neverwinter Vault sites by independent users. Additional content has come from contributors to the Neverwinter Nights Community Site (NWN) - Custom Content Challenge(link is external), several updates from Project Q v3.1 (For NWN Enhanced Edition v8193.13) | The Neverwinter Vault, and other content developed specifically for the CEP. Included content is organized to function properly together, with necessary updates made to models, and .2da files. The CEP is intended to be a "universal" download - players can download this single package to access a large number of modules and persistent worlds that otherwise would have each required their own individual downloads.

Builders using the CEP for their module have the option of selecting which CEP content appears in-game. Content from the core CEP does override some default Neverwinter Nights content, it will however not impact modules that do not use the CEP. The Community Expansion Pack has been very successful over the years, and many long-term players have found the CEP to be as vital to Neverwinter Nights as the official BioWare expansion packs.

The CEP 3 comes with a module that has the optional haks in it and showcases a couple of the new things added to CEP.

Great material.

I got the updated version and it seems to work with the few mods I tried that use CEP3. Thanks!

@/bin/sh Good suggestion! I'll look into it, but having the old TLK files in the main tlk folder shouldn't be a problem.

Of course if it doesn't break anything else in the long run

One suggestion I would like to make.

I am playing The Lord of Terror 2 custom module and it fails to launch because it is missing cep3.1.tlk. This is fixed locally by copying the file from the Old TLK files directory in to the tlk folder.

Maybe this should be done so by default? So include the Old TLK files content into the tlk folder root.
