(1.7) Ocelot 1A1

Description
Shortly after the end of the Second Pannotian War, in late 1945 the War Department of Aurea (essentially (West) Germany) requested a new tank to replace earlier tanks that had fought against Coalition forces during the war. After several trials and bids, the design by Cyrille won. It was first deployed in 1947 and saw service until 1975, though this original A1 variant was retired by 1961. The A1 variant shown here boasts a 90mm cannon capable of firing APDS and HEAT which gave it superb performance against other tanks for its time. The frontal armor was meant to withstand heavy cannons of similar size, giving it power to withstand large cannons, even the 122mm on the IS-2 at range. Somewhat uniquely, it features 2 sights for the gunner, one for rangefinding and the other for aiming. This would attempt to reduce the time it took to estimate the range of an enemy by having a stadiametric rangefinder mounted. Being an early variant, it has several issues. The fairly lackluster radiators meant that there was quite a reliance on air being able to enter the engine bay to cool the engine off, which meant under heavy stress the engine was prone to overheating. Moreover, the 90mm and its armor was becoming ever more lackluster as time progressed. Most glaringly was that it was about as fast as a heavy tank, with only a top speed of ~37 km/h, which hindered it significantly. These flaws eventually lead to the development of more advanced variants. Despite this, the relative simplicity of the design meant it could be easily be mass produced, with around 30,000 produced across all variants during its production run between 1947-1970, with many being exported across the world.

I don't believe you use my T-55, so I don't think you need to credit me for anything, in fact, I don't mind if people straight up repost me vehicles. Search up Type 10 and you'll see I have no issues.
