Hearing the call for a better fighting vehicle, the Stino Corporation began searching through old prototypes to find one that met the requirements. Since this would be the first vehicle constructed locally on Gregory, a few modifications had to be made, primarily reducing the amount of armor and removing its amphibious capability while ensuring it could still cross the shallow bodies of water found in the wetlands.

They developed the ST-2, an armored personnel carrier designed to give the Stino Corporation a better fighting chance against the BOTNAKs while also allowing 16 Froggits to be transported safely without interference.

Once the design was finalized, the blueprint was uploaded to the base on Gregory, and construction of 12 ST-2s began. While most of the resources were sourced locally, a few advanced electronic components were shipped from Stino Corporation's main production facility. Because the ST-2 was rushed into production so quickly, it was never given an official name. However, the crews operating it nicknamed it "The Unit" due to its massive size compared to the Dryad, while the Froggits who were transported on it called it "The Party Bus."

With a fleet of 12 ST-2s, the entire Meadows region could now be cleared of BOTNAKs, and the first Mega Drill could finally be destroyed.
