My version of the iconic WW2 Japanese carrier-borne Aichi D3A1 "Val" dive bomber.

Info from Wikipedia, somewhat edited.
******
The Aichi D3A (Navy designation "Type 99 Carrier Bomber"; Allied reporting name "Val") is a World War II carrier-borne dive bomber. It was the primary dive bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and was involved in almost all IJN actions, including the attack on Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941.

The Aichi D3A was the first Japanese aircraft to bomb American targets in the war, commencing with Pearl Harbor and U.S. bases in the Philippines, such as Clark Air Force Base. They sank more Allied warships than any other Axis aircraft.

The plane is armed with two fixed forward-firing 7.7 mm Type 97 machine guns in the engine cowling, and one flexible 7.7 mm Type 92 machine gun at the rear end of cockpit, which was operated by the observer. The bomb load consists of a single 250 kg bomb Type 99 No 25 semi-AP bomb carried under the fuselage, swung out under the propeller on release by a trapeze. and two additional 60 kg bombs on wing racks located under each wing outboard of the dive brakes.
******

The Val typically attacked at a 50° to 60° dive angle, and usually released their bombs at an altitude of 4-600 meters leaving altitude to recover from the dive.

A note on the white, or more correctly beige colour of Japanese planes.
Japanese planes were NOT painted in white as they're often depicted in various media and paint schemes, but in a corrosion protection colour that was more of a muted green-gray-beige. The colour paled a bit with age but it was never really white.

CONTROLS
Pilot's seat - All Alt controls!
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering/Yaw.
Up/Down Arrows / Mouse: Pitch.
Left/Right Arrows / Mouse: Roll.
X/Disable Steering: Flaps. Since flaps don't really provide more lift in the game these just provide a bit more pitch up (and some air brake) during take-off and landing.
Hold X/Invert Steering: Air brakes.
K/Hazard Lights: Fold wing tips for storing.
PgDn/PgUp / Auxiliary: Operate arrestor hook.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Machine guns.
Fire action 2 / Num 2: 250 kg bomb. It takes a second to swing out and drop, as indicated by a green light in the cockpit, so don't pull up immediately after dropping.
Fire action 3-4 / Num 3-4: 60 kg bombs.

Camera 1: Telescopic bomb sight. I had to put the camera on top of the canopy as it looked too ugly and bulky on the slim sight.

Navigator's/Gunner's seat
X/Disable Steering: Turn seat/switch between machine gun and radio operation.
Alt + Arrow Keys or Mouse: Control machine gun.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire machine gun.

Time to pay a visit to Pearl Harbor?

This one was actually one of very few planes that flew pretty much fine from the get go weirdly enough and it needed very little trimming or extra work. No idea why but I'm grateful for every plane I don't have to spend4-6 extra hours on just to get to fly ok. :D
