Description
Original Mod by OwlChemist. This is an altered version previously for my own use, but every man and his dog is updating his stuff now I figured I'd upload this as an alternative. I have kept the original packageID for save compatibility. This means you will need to unsub from Owlchemist's version. Fear not, I flagged them as co-author of this one.

1.4 and 1.5 version of OwlChemist's Simple Chain's Lumber with the following changes:
- Reduced the steel cost for the trestle down to 5 from 20

This was done because it was weird that it cost 20 steel and 20 wood and is mostly wood. This also makes it a bit easier get started for zero goods/tech starts.

- Increased Wood Log HP to 175 from 150.
- Increased Wood Log Mass to 1 from 0.4.
- Reduced the number of firewood that can be crafted at one time from 20 to 10

The additional HP added, and increased mass to Wood Log reflects that this is raw timber, and not cut lumber which should have reduced mass and durabilty. As logs are heavier, pawns carry less, this should include crafting recipies.

- Increased output from crafting greenwood from wood logs to 3 from 1.

This was done because we are making planks from logs. The extra effort reaps a little reward now. Also, the 1:1 ration was whack.
.
- Removed timber from firewood recipe.
- Increased output from crafting firewood from wood logs to 5 from 1.
- Decreased Firewood Mass to 0.2 from 0.4

This was done to prevent a discrepancy between lumber and timber results. Timber has a mass of 1, and can now be cut into 3 lumber at 0.4 (it should be 3.3r but yeah, no). Timber can be cut into 5 Firewood at mass of 0.2. It would not make sense to have Lumber produce the same amount of firewood, and two separate recipes would be just weird.

- Changed Passive Coolers to make them Stuffable.

The original version changed Passive Coolers to use dried lumber. This was an extra pain for hot maps, especially when using zero items/tech. Now greenwood lumber can also be used.

- Sound Fix for 1.5

This was done because changes made in Anomaly caused issues in the 1.4 version.

@Monkey Magic thank you for the reply! Makes sense!

@sebo2203 - yeah, you can build some stuff out of logs or green lumber, but the materials aren't as good as lumber in different ways - for example logs are super expensive, since you can get a lot of firewood, or green lumber from a wood log. Green lumber has weak HP and is generally an inferior material to lumber

Was it intentional that I can build a lot of furniture out of ... logs.. and green lumber?
Or is some other mod adding that feature and I am reducing the intended difficulty of my game-play? Would somebody enlighten me?

@Emillie Sackenball - there is already a bunch of patches in that provide for this. If you are using a mod that does not, lemme know what it is and I can at least take a look at it. I recently patched the Firewood Rack in Deep Storage Plus to only store actual firewood, for example. Previously it would only store lumber :P

it's possible to make the lumber is recognized as a the vanilla "log" for some mods like storage and other general recipes?

I've never used that mod. I don't use any mod that requires the Vanilla Framework Extended . What exactly are you asking for here? Please explain why you believe it's not compatible (I have no intention of installing VFE, ever but I can look into Alpha Biomes if you tell me what the issues are, and what the expected results should be
Hey there, since you're actively changing this would you perhaps add compatibility with Alpha Biomes? It adds additional types of wood that aren't compatible with this.
