Description
Happy Ten Years of Hotline Miami 2!

Disclaimer:
This project is unfinished! But it is playable. I decided to discontinue the project because I lost motivation and the patience for this project. This has been in the works for three months. I worked on other maps that are longer than 3 months, but I simply do not have the patience to work on Hotline Miami stuff or play it. I've reached my limit.

I had a lot of ideas that I wanted to do:
- Make a unique custom cutscene system.
- Compose some custom music.
- An idea of making a lost media ARG thing…
- Add custom fonts and change the title screen.
- Add hair to Richter

The level design is based on an "arcadie style". If that's not your cup of tea then your not going to have a good time. Some of my maps do require to wear the frog mask for getting a S rank. Most of the non-jacket levels do not need full combos for S rank. It's fine to hate these levels, because it wasn't my attempt to make "good design" levels. Because I wanted to actually have fun making things for this game.

90% of my projects always get canned because I want to make "good levels" and always nitpick at every detail and design flaw. Not this time. I wanted to have fun and I did, until I had to make face sprites and the cutscenes. Which I never did. On the other hand, the story would of been bland.

After I made all of the levels and sprites. I didn’t want to continue with the project. Lmao.

There were originally 8 levels, but the one level kept crashing and I just scrapped it entirely.

But it's overall playable and I don't want to waste my work like I had so many times with this game.

Anyone who is streaming this, make sure you have a high bitrate lol

Weapons Sounds and Graphics:

*There is no music mod. But weapons and sounds are done. I don’t know specific recommendations, I guess chiptune or dunno… Undertale music? *shugs* *spreads hole, goaste style* aaaaaaahhhh!!!

Bugs:
- Crashes at random sometimes. This has happen on the Metro and Voting.
- Be careful with transitions points always go straight towards the arrow.

“Story”:
“In 1980, the popular novel Miami Cowboys was released to the world. Sold over 2 million copies and was highly praised for its graphic depiction of violence and its commentary on the current events.

In 1983, A video game developer and publisher, ExtremeGamesTM and ZoxySoft Corp, had contacted both the authors Dennis Wedin and Jonatan Soderstrom for making a video game adaptation of their popular novel for the ZX Spectrum. Both authors were hesitant about the idea of a video game adaptation. Eventually the deal fell apart.

Allegedly, ZoxySoft Corp wanted the rights for both the video game adaptation and the novel. Of course this deal would never have happened. Dennis and Jonatan laughed and declined the deal. Before the meeting, ExtremeGamesTM developed a prototype of the game. Both Dennis and Jonatan saw the working prototype and were intrigued, but were not satisfied with the game.

An anonymous user on an illegal ROM website had released a functional prototype copy of the Miami Cowboys on the ZX Spectrum. I want to show my support of lost media by sharing and spreading the accessibility of Miami Cowboys. Here you go and enjoy!“

Yeah, I am no writer lol. I would have refined more if the project had continued. Enjoy!

Ngl the level design sucks, because I wanted to not worry so much about level design so much and just make something. Honestly, after replaying it for the last time, I would of removed some enemies in areas. It does feel like it's too much at times. My McDonalds level was supposed to be bad and unplayable.

Thanks you for playing my stuff and critique it. I appreciate it.

Feeling like giving a bit credit where credit's due.
While the level design was cocky in some places (mainly the transitional ones where it's pretty much unbeatable when you don't bring a gun with you), I do like the many visual challenges it came alongside with them, like the golf carts in the last level. Brutal at some places, but not too on the edge like the mcDonald's level was so props to you for just winging it.
Overall pretty cool and nice to see something being released again. Keep it up, even when you're done with HLM

I hid the mcdonalds map because I was going to redo it originally but I decided to do this project and now I don't wanna touch the game lol. I'll maybe release it again.
