COD Black Ops1 Uzi in 45 ACP

Description
I love COD black ops1 models,I think they fit
NMRIH so well.Maybe I'll release some more,
but only time will tell.
Right now,this is the uzi,but with a little
twist:it's chambered for 45ACP.

Because I'm one of those guys who enjoy
paying attention to real life details about
guns in games,I wanted to make that thing as
believable as possible:availability,common
or rare,time period...you get the idea.

This is why I'm gonna give you a small gun-nerd
lecture about uzis in 45ACP,so you can
understand why I did certain specific changes:
Uzis can be chambered in others calibers than
9mm,either old and rare batches of israeli made
guns or using conversion kits.The largest
magazines for 45ACP are comically long and can
only store 22 shots,being single stack (plz
don't mind the default 30 rounds of the game then).
Also,open-bolt uzis have no reciprocating bolts
when being fired,the only time it gets to move
is when the gun is empty and is being reloaded.
This is why I modified the reload_empty anim.
Then I removed the COD markings and used new
ones that should make more sence about the gun
provenance.

The lesson is over.If you wonder why not just
making an mp5 replacement with ported anims from
the mac10,that's because for one porting anims
may not be such an easy process (to me at least)
and also because it's harder to get "believable"
replacements for the mac10 since 45ACP smgs are
less common than 9mm (and of course because
default anims were matching pretty well).

go throught the details!

MODEL
.uzi model ported to source by Alex_D
.peewee model made using a LOD modifier in
3DS max,because former model was just a
copy/paste of the v_model
.the rear sights have been squashed inside the
gun,otherwise IS would be unusable.I'm sorry about
this but admit it,if I didn't mention it the
majority of you guys wouldn't have seen anything
.magazine made much longer to look like one of
those crazy long 22 mags.Also modeled some very
basic feed-lips.
.there was a small visible smoothing issue at the
front of the gun,it has been fixed.

TEXTURE
.recolored the dark green parts to something
more consistant than the rest of the gun
.changed the original markings (what's an "izi"
treyarch? ) with something more suitable and
hopefully more believable for gun nerds.Also
touched the firemode markings,as subtle as they
are
.few others misc tweaks,both for diffuse texture
(like the charging handle looking less worn) and
the normal map (the barrel nut and charging handle
maps being quite modified)

ANIMS
.the bolt position has been changed to every anims.
It will now remain in forward position and stationary
until a reload_empty is performed,where it will be
pulled back,then manually pushed forward again.All
of that being like how an open-bolt uzi should work
.both reload anims had to be tweaked because of the
longer magazine,the left hand won't clip throught
the mag when tapping it into the well.
.the draw anim has been changed,it is based on the
shove anim,as I tried to avoid the easy "just play
the hoster anim reversed"

MISC
.VGUI icon ported from the original game (I believe?
never played black ops TBH so I don't know for sure)
.muzzleflash attachments,physbox for peewee,all these
sorts of stuff have been adressed
.sounds taken from the uzi in Alliance of Valiant
Arms.Now some of them have been substancially modified
so don't be surprised if you played AVA but don't
reconize some of them.



This is one of the longest description I've ever posted,
I hope no one died from spontaneous combustion because of
it.I'll just post the original L4D2 port link for the
curious,and a gamebanana one where you can grab the AVA
sounds,I think they are quite interesting as sound
replacement and there are many of these!

As a side note,I'd like to thank Redjester 10/22 for helping me
getting started with Blender animation editing,and for the tricks
he provided (let alone handling anims on some of my previous
submissions)

a couple of tweaks done:
.front sight has been lowered
.tweaked the fire selector area a bit
.more subtle texture tweaks


bunch of edits and tweaks made:
-the fire sound was replaced by NMRIH beta 1 mac10 one,
this is the best I could have come up with for a
punchy 45ACP machine gun effect
-new VMF settings taken from original Gmod port,now
texture has fancier light reflection
-the reload_empty anim has been tweaked,the left
hand should appear less janky
-the ammocheck animations (both) have better sound
synchronisation

There are tons of tutorials on steam and the internet explaining how to port stuff
on source engine and (de)compile models,this will require you some time and
dedication to learn it all.
I'm sorry but I have no "easy" answers for you.
