Tree species from 'The Lorax' (Both book, TV Special, and 2012 Film)

The 'Truffula' tree is a tree shown from 'The Lorax'. It's foilage isn't leaves, but instead it's softer-than-silk tufts that smell like butterfly milk.
The Once-Ler (main villain in the story) chops all of them down to near extinction by turning those tufts into thneeds, an object that could be used in a thousand ways, such as being a shirt, a hat, a tightrope, or even a net, there were endless possibilities until they all got sold out as the very last tree was chopped down, leaving behind just a dark and polluted wasteland.

The Truffula species came in a variety of colours, ranging from Red, Yellow, Orange, Pink, or more uncommonly, Purple. The trees produce a fruit that look like pears and are red in colour. From the 2012 Film, it's shown that it's presumably safe to eat.
