Description
New waypoints that announce when a train passes by
This works like stock horn waypoints but it plays a number of announcements from different countries.

Station masters whistle when trains leave
Local trains instead receive announcements when opening and closing the doors.
Trains without horn receive one.
Trains without level crossing bell receive it. It will sound when triggered by a "bell" waypoint like https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2949188252 or a "crossing" waypoint like https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2790931135.

This mod works with vanilla and many modded trains.
You can customise it with <mod directory>/res/scripts/lollo_sounds/settings/trainSoundEffectSettings.lua.
For example, you can make it say "mind the gap" and "stand clear of the doors", or nothing at all.
You can also add your own sounds. Just play around.

Tiny fake train depots that make various station announcements
You will find them from 1925 in the station depot menu. Pick one and plop it wherever you like. Repeat to taste.
You can have different stations make different announcements, and even the same station make a jumble of different announcements in German, Italian, Russian, English, Japanese and French - or just more of the same.

You can adjust the volume in the mod settings.

Notes
1) Whistles and horns can only come if the train has a sound set with clacks (for diesel and electric trains) or chuffs (for steam trains).
This mod adds clacks to certain modded sound sets that haven't got them. It does not add chuffs for now.

2) To make more modded trains whistle, load https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1956333378 and https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1984933237 before other mods and this one after.

3) If you alter trainSoundEffectSettings.lua, back it up to preserve it across mod updates.

4) It might take a minute or so before the announcements start coming.

5) Waypoints do not always sound. Tell UG to fix the game or the specs.

6) This mod supercedes "Extra Sound Effects for Trains" and "Station Announcements". If you built Station Announcements depots before, they will keep working. However, from now on, play without the two older mods.

I have no control on the randomness logic. Choosing a sound is awkward with the current program logic, unless I clutter the menu to death. I might do it but don't hold your breath :-)

for me it seems like its just always picking one sound more often than the other ones.. also it would be cool if we could pick at the sound waypoint which sound it will play or the option for it to stay random

How do you add your own sounds? If I understand it correctly, it just picks a random sound in the announcents folder depending on which type you placed correct?

It's just a selection of underground and local trains that I like. You can change it to your liking in the settings file.

Very cool mod, i really like the whistles before train leaves.
What does "local trains" mean in this mod tho? Cause you said there are sounds for local trains when they opening and closing doors so im wondering which trains classify like that?
