Reversing Rebalance

Description
Makes the reverse acceleration more or less match the forward acceleration
Some people here and there expressed their wish for reversing not being so strong. Some found it hard to control and immersion breaking, while others felt that it "forces" them to always "cheese" towing by reversing instead of looking for a proper vehicle for the job (roughly speaking in vanilla game a vehicle's horse power is almost doubled when reversing, this means that even the weakest vehicle can tow stronger by going in reverse than the strongest vehicle can by going forward)

Mod Compatibility
  • Should work with everything, might not do anything to modded vehicles which dynamically adjust engineForce (U1550L)

Notes
  • Can be added/removed to/from existing saves. Should work in Multiplayer
  • There seems to be only one way to dynamically adjust vehicle engineForce and it only affects reversing. Forward motion is derived from the value in the vehicleScript

ForsakenShell It works in 42.9 unless some other mod interferes, you can see it by having mechanics UI opened while in the vehicle, during reversing HP of the vehicle will be almost halved. HP is the main factor in vehicle acceleration in PZ, the sound effect and visual representation of rpm on the dashboard are mostly irrelevant.

Can't tell if it's working in 42.9 - the F350 still slams reverse right to 30mph with super high revs and volume.

Am I misunderstanding the purpose of this mod?

42.9 compatible?

reverse is useless if you are not using mods, you are never going to have more than 1000 load in vanille, only there reverse is relevant.

@Eri I have not tried but I think it should.

I wanted this for years, is it compatible with 'better car physics'?
