The Mary Celeste

The Mary celeste was a Canadian build Brigantine She started out as the Amazon, She was launched 1861 with the name "Amazon" She was built at Spencer's Island nova Scotia, On her Yoyage her Captain fell sick and the ship was turned around, He died the same day at Land, In 1868 She was transferred to American Ownership After she was wrecked. She was renamed to the "Mary Celeste" Meaning "Mary Heavenly" In latin. She sailed without any real issues until 1872 Early in 1872 she underwent a Refit costing 10 Grands (1872 Money). On October 20th the Mary celeste Arrived at Then Pier 50 on the East River at Newyork, Her cargo for the next trip was 1,701 barrels of alcohol, his wife and infant daughter Joined him a week later. On the morning of tuesday November 5th the Mary Celeste set out to leave peir 50. The weather was uncertain, and the Captain decided to wait for better conditions. He anchored the ship just off Staten Island. While the Mary Celeste prepared to sail the Canadian "Dei Gratia" was waiting on her Cargo, 2 Days after the Mary Celeste Anchored, the weather Cleared up and she Left into the Atlantic. The Dei Gratia followed suit on November the 15th following the same general route eight days after Mary Celeste. On December 5th the Captain of the Dei Gratia a vessel heading unsteadily towards Dei Gratia at a distance of about six miles he ship's erratic movements and the odd set of her sails led the Captain of the Dei Gratia to suspect that something was wrong,As the vessel drew close, he could see nobody on deck, and he received no reply to his signals He sent his 2 of his crew out on the Dei Gratia's small Boat to investigate, The pair sailed around the Unknown ship and established that it was the Mary Celeste after looking at the stern, The pair boarded the Celeste, but she was fully empty, Some might say A ghost ship.. The cabins were wet, Suspected to be from the open Skylights. the sails were in poor conditon most of them hastily taken down, Much of the rigging was damaged and the Fore Lazerrete cargo hatch was open the Mary Celestes single lifeboat a Yawl was missing. They found the ship's daily log in the mate's cabin, and its final entry was dated at 8 a.m. on November 25, nine days earlier. It recorded Mary Celeste's position then as 37°1′N 25°1′W off Santa Maria Island in the Azores, nearly 400 nautical miles from the point where Dei Gratia encountered her. the Pair agreed with their captain on the Dei Gratia to fix up the Mary celeste and sail her back to Port, She arrived one day after the Dei gratia. The investigation did not find any reason, The most likely explenation is her Cargo, you can find more about the entire story of her in Part Time Explorers Documentry, Anyways In 1873 the New captain of the Mary Celeste was able to convince his crew that she was a evil ship, and He got the crew to agree to beach her for the Insurance Payout, Her cargo was overly insured, She was beached without no further issues, the investigation Later found out that her cargo was worthless stuff and the Owners were forced to repay the Insurance money or they could be faced wtih Death.

@rex

I also had this feeling while building the interior, it was fine until i redid some of the exterior to make it realistic, since i did that i have been feeling watched while using it.

im so superstitious so every time i sail this ship i feel very uncomfortable like there is still someone or something below the decks in the rooms
