Description
There is more than one form of sacrifice…

Sacrifice Rooms have always been incredibly consistent, for better or worse, and so this mod seeks to change that! Each Sacrifice Room will have 1 of 4 possible desired payments and rewards; no more taking health only!

The 4 variations of Sacrifice are…
  • Heart - Willingly endure an HP down for a 50/50 shot at an item! This item can be from the Boss Room, Treasure Room, and rarely, an Angel Room. This variant can reward you twice per encounter.
  • Sheep - Pay the price of a familiar’s life to be transported to the Deal for the floor! Unlike other methods of transport, this method allows for free returns to the Deal via the Sacrifice Room.
  • Crown - Give up a random item to receive one soul heart, a modest red heart heal, and 2 randomly selected stat increases! This variant can be used thrice per encounter.
  • Cross - The old fashioned method hasn’t gone away, and paying the price of blood will remain as a possible option to be chosen! The first floor’s Sacrifice Room will always be the Cross until The Forgotten is unlocked.

Note: This mod requires REPENTOGON to function!

Soul characters actually allow you to use sac rooms by using a soul heart. It's just red health characters that can't use soul hearts on them.

Will do! I'll pay closer attention. I pretty much never take file anyways so should help me narrow it down. Probably just me playing soul heart characters a lot.

Depends on which Sac room you are entering may give the answer. The sheep sac room will always be retracted if you do not have a familiar. The heart sac room only accepts red heart containers for red heart characters, so may retract if you are only on soul hearts for them.

Flat file also retracts them. It really depends on the situation. I do not think it is a bug, most of them are caught, but please let me know if you continue to have issues in this regard

Why might the spikes always retract when I enter sac rooms with this mod?

Found a small bug with Flat File

The spikes keep switching between on and off states constantly. Not sure if its just visual because i managed to use them regardless.

Also it was the Lamb variant, not sure if others have the same issue

Bugs fixed! The Crown Room could never take the Polaroid and other quest items, but the Key Piece and so on with the Sheep was an oversight. Thanks for the report, have a good time!

the sheep sac room has a bug, quite a major one. It can remove story familiars, like Key Pieces, Knife Pieces, etc.

Pretty sure the Crown one can also remove stuff like Polaroid, etc.

the one where you have to sacrifice a heart container for an item? if you have no heart containers it's literally free.
