Description
Hereteks rise! - The Dark Mechanicum

The Dark Mechanicum is a new faction for Gladius. They are the traitor counterpart to the Adeptus Mechanicus and make use of large quantities of Daemon Engines.

The Dark Mechanicum is primarily a copy of the Adeptus Mechanicus influenced by Chaos. Similar to how Chaos Space Marines can grant their infantry Marks of Chaos, the Dark Mechanicum can grant their vehicles Marks of Chaos and let their vehicles be possessed by daemons.
Daemon Engines are already possessed upon production and gain their boon once the proper mark has been researched.

The Dark Mechanicums infantry makes use of unstable weaponry that may leave the area radioactively contaminated. Later research can turn this detriment into a benefit for your infantry units.

Where the Adeptus Mechanicus wants you to focus every tile of your city to a specific building, the Dark Mechanicum is the exact opposite and penalises you for putting multiple buildings of the same type on a single tile.

To play the Dark Mechanicum you require the Adeptus Mechanicus DLC.
Additionally the following DLCs add more units to the faction:
Chaos Space marines DLC
Escalation Pack DLC
Firepower Pack DLC
Demolition Pack DLC

For this mod I only repurposed already existing models and assets, so some units might look slightly weird. I'm sorry if this breaks your immersion.

This faction is mostly AdMech with some CSM units and new mechanics. The units may be familiar, but there will be new strengths, weaknesses and uses for everything.

you literally made my day with this mod (errm...it was a sleepless night actually lol)
i was cosplaying Dmechs by playing in alliance with CSM before this.
the mod just have it all - the deamon engines, the MARKS for vechicles...damn even nukes =D

Custom models for the Dark Mechanicum are unlikely. I'm not the one that created those models, I only port them into Gladius. For the World Eaters and Dark Mechanicum I don't have access to enough already existing models that are appealing to me and fulfill the requirements for them to be successfully ported into Gladius.
