With Operation Pioneer nearing its end, the Stino Corporation set out on its final mission: attack the Withered Heights and destroy the last Mega Drill. However, before launching the assault, there were still a few survivors and scientists stranded in the Withered Heights who needed to be rescued first. Fortunately, the Stino Corporation had been working on a personnel transport helicopter just before deploying to Gregory.

With the updated design uploaded to the forward base on Gregory, three ST-36 Dragonflies were built and prepared for the rescue mission into the Withered Heights. However, ground crews had spotted improved and up-armored BOTNAKs, prompting last-minute modifications to the Dragonflies. Extra armor was added, mainly around the rotor, to withstand the increased air defenses.

Despite the dangers, the Stino Corporation succeeded, managing to rescue both the scientists and Sunreach's survivors, setting the stage for the final assault on the third and last Mega Drill.
