Half-Life 2 E3 Demo Map Porting Project
First Map is e3_hl2logo
All assets are packed in.
This is a ported version of my Garry's MOD ones
Removed the Physgun.

!!! Important Notes: !!!
  • If the HUD fails to display, please enter
    cl_drawhud 1
    in the console, because some of the demo doesn't need to show the HUD for the showcase.

  • The Half-Life 2 version maybe break some features due to the workshop limites, but it's perfect for single player
  • The e3_c17_02 's strider script maybe broken

This is a ported version of the Half-Life 2 demo maps showcased at E3 2003.
All maps have been recompiled and repaired a little using modern methods,
Tips, this is not a champaign map. The map's progression mirrors the E3 demo sequences. Please note that failure to trigger the relevant events will break the map's progression .
(Low-probability event: Please don't enable the mods that change what the game looks like , it will cause the game break in this map! Many legacy assets have been packed into the campaign mod, and enabling third-party appearance-altering mods (such as weapon model changes or texture enhancements) may trigger unnecessary conflicts or overload and crash the game.)


    Included Features:
  • Restored NPC demo voice lines
  • Preserved scene animations
  • Repaired most map triggers (but not all. It's my skill issues)
  • Imported legacy model assets

Some scripting elements could not be fully restored due to technical limitations and source file availability. Suggestions for improvements are warmly welcomed!


As this represents my first mapping project, I'd greatly appreciate any constructive feedback to enhance this restoration effort.

All original assets are made by Valve Corporation.

  • 演示NPC语音
  • Scene动作
  • 场景触发器修复(因为我的技术问题,并非全部修复)
  • 旧版模型文件移植

部分地图脚本因为技术和源文件原因可能无法还原,如果有好点子,请一定要告诉我!

the guard will finish killing the combine sequences then turn to hurt player, can manually shoot down the combines in order to speed up.

It crashes on the intro and after the g-man it closes. Is there a fix or something or should I write e3_techdemo_1?
