WW3 is in full swing. NATO forces are engaged in heavy fighting in germany and the north sea. With most of NATOs airpower needed to stabilise the front, the soviets see an opportunity to invade Greece and open up a new flank. But prior to the war the greek defence forces have been provided with some NATO ships as a loan and a small US Task force is in the area to assist.
